The 8th edition of the Dolomitica Brenta Bike, scheduled for June 26, 2022, will be Uci Mtb Marathon Masters World Championship and will assign the world championship jerseys of this discipline, including Pinzolo among the destinations chosen by the Uci (International Cycling Union) to host the appointments cycling and mountain biking world championships next year.
The news was made official a little while ago during the annual UCI Congress which is taking place in Leuven (Flanders - Belgium) in conjunction with the Road Cycling World Championships.
The prestigious award, assigned to Pinzolo, rewards the organizers of the Dolomitica Brenta Bike who, for eight years, have been organizing the marathon along the spectacular dirt roads of the largest Bikeland in Italy, on the edge of the Brenta Dolomites, a World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the entry into the Uci calendar confirms the importance of Pinzolo and the tourist destination Madonna di Campiglio as a leader in the organization of sporting events: from the Serie A football retreats to the Alpine Ski World Cup, passing through the Giro d ' Italy, citing the most significant.
Pinzolo was selected and validated through an application process that provides for the choice of destinations based on their history in organizing events and reliability. These qualities that the Dolomitica Brenta Bike, with its organizers and all of Pinzolo, have demonstrated on the field, edition after edition.
On June 26th, among the three multi-level routes proposed by the Dolomitica Brenta Bike, there will also be the marathon, valid as the Masters World Championship: 67 km in length and 2.400 m in altitude with departure and arrival in Pinzolo after passing through Madonna di Campiglio.

A great success for our group, for Pinzolo, for everyone. From tomorrow we will be at work to prepare the June appointment ".

Words of satisfaction were also expressed by the vice president of Apt Cecilia Maffei, who flew to Leuven and was present at the UCI Congress to learn firsthand the official finalization of the candidacy.
